SESLHD Oral Health Service is committed to working with NSW Schools to improve the oral health of children and young people. NSW Health provides a free dental service to all children and young people (0-17 years) who are registered with Medicare. We can only offer emergency dental care for families who are not registered with Medicare, families on work visas or international students.
South Eastern Sydney Local Health District operates child dental clinics in Daceyville, Hurstville, Tharawal (Menai) and Rockdale Public Schools, The Sutherland Hospital and an Aboriginal specific dental clinic at La Perouse Community Health Centre. These are the only child dental clinics in South Eastern Sydney that are managed by NSW Health. We do not provide a mobile dental service in any schools setting. Eligible adults (i.e. commonwealth card holders) in St George and Sutherland Shires can access dental services at Sutherland or Hurstville by phoning 1300 134 226.
